Referrals to Unhyphen

As mental health practitioners, we value collaborative care with General Practitioners and other allied health professionals. Our focus remains on providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed mental health support to our clients, many of whom are unable to access Medicare rebated services. Sliding scale fees are available for counselling sessions with our qualified counsellor if required. Clients do not require a referral to access services at Unhyphen, however, clients with a mental health care plan and referral can access Medicare rebates for sessions with our psychologist. We welcome clients who are self or plan managed via NDIS. 

We are unable to provide services to clients who:

• are in active substance dependence or in-patient treatment

• are involved in legal/court proceedings

• have primary diagnoses of substance use disorders, eating disorders, or psychosis

• are seeking bulk-billed services
